FAQ
Our Most Frequently Asked Questions
What Is An ICBC Accident Search?
An ICBC Accident Search advises you if the vehicle has ever been
salvaged, dismantled, rebuilt, or has been imported from outside BC. It also
gives you a detailed list of any ICBC claims involving vehicle damage. At
any time, if the vehicle has not been insured by ICBC and there were claims
made against it, the claims will show up on the report as no details. If
ICBC did not pay out any claims with respect to the damage, then ICBC will
not have any information about that claim.

What Is A Government Lien Search?
A lien may have been placed on the vehicle by a person, a bank, or other
entities as collateral to ensure that the owner of the vehicle honors a
debt. A lien is attached to the vehicle, not to the owner of the vehicle.
So, if you buy a car that has a lien on it and the previous owner does not
pay his or her debt, the car can be repossessed from you.
This search will only include liens registered in the province that you
request.
What are your hours of
operation?
Monday to Saturday, from 9 AM to 6 PM (PST). We are closed on statutory
holidays.

Why purchase “Vehicle History Reports”?
If you purchase a vehicle (boat, motorcycle, trailer etc) that has been
stolen, has a lien attached to it or has undergone major structural repairs
due to previous damage, there is a good chance that you many not be able to
register it and you could lose both the vehicle and your money.
How do I know these search results are
accurate?
Every service we offer is processed through the appropriate government
